Acorn
With MC, cast on 6 sts; distribute to 3 dpns, pm for beg of rnd and join, taking care not to twist.
Rnd 1: *K1, yo; rep from * aroundâ12 sts.
Rnd 2: Knit around, working into the back of yoâs.
Rnd 3: *K2, yo; rep from * aroundâ18 sts.
Rnd 4: Knit around, working into the back of yoâs.
Rnds 5â10: Work even.
Rnd 11: Change to CC; with 2 strands CC held tog, *k3, yo; rep from * aroundâ24 sts.
Rnds 12â15: Purl around, working into the back of yoâs when working Rnd 12.
Rnd 16: P2tog aroundâ12 sts.
Stuff will fiberfill.
Rnd 17: P2tog aroundâ6 sts.
Cut yarn, leaving an 8-inch tail.
Using tapestry needle, thread tail through rem sts and pull tight.
Hanger
Fold tail in half; secure top of loop and end of tail to top of acorn to make a double-strand hanger.
Weave in all ends.

With A, cast on 31 sts; mark center (16th) st.
Row 1 (WS): Knit to marked center st, p1, knit to end.
Row 2 (RS): Knit to 2 sts before marked center st, ssk, k1, k2tog, knit to endâ29 sts.
Rows 3â7: Rep [Rows 1 and 2] twice, then rep Row 1â25 sts.
Row 8: Bind off 2 sts, knit to 2 sts before marked st, ssk, k1, k2tog, knit to endâ21 sts.
Row 9: Bind off 2 sts, knit to marked st, p1, knit to endâ19 sts.
Rows 10 and 12: Kfb, knit to 2 sts before marked st, ssk, k1, k2tog, knit to last st, kfb.
